Hey lost and confused as many my age are if anyone has any advice feel free. Im 19 and have decided college is definately not for me. I spent a year at a University in Boston and decided I rather be home working and going to a community college, just to find out I just really hate school in general. I feel as if Im wasting money studying such general topics, and I have come to accept that I probably dont have the motivation to pursue a career in my current major. My parents totally support that college isnt the answer for everybody, the question is what kind of school is. I still want to go to school but perhaps a vocational. I have taked some of those career tests online and they all pretty much say the same thing industrial arts, I like working with my hands being creative, physical labor type stuff. I know jobs like this are out there but the search is tedious. I want to make sure I get it rigth and dont waste anymore time or money. Can anyone help, or have any stories of their own that might shed some light on the situation? Has anyone else delt with this? thanks!!

Work a few years, and try to find your niche. If you want to return to school, you can always go back. No reason why you have to go to school right now. You never know what you might discover about yourself!

If you're hot, just marry a rich guy. If not, McDonald's is usually hiring.

Well, do you like your current job? Does it have room for mobility?
Other than you may get the same ccanned response of: "Do what you want and what you enjoy..."
Perhaps you may narrow it down by eliminating things you DON'T want to do.

my job now is giving puppy medications..shots fluids stuff liek that. I dont consider this a long term job though. I do know what i dont want to do...work in an office, sales boring uncreative shit. I guess Im looking for unusual jobs, something with an income I can live off of though, I know there out there but a conventinal search online brings the same crap over and over again.

Get yourself an entry level position in an industry that you can advance in relatively fast, one that excites you, and one that pays well. Stick with it and hopefully it would be something you like doing and can go to school later to learn more about it and in return make more money for doing it.
