death scares me... but I'm not scared of it... If I were to die, it'd be for a reason... but the way it affects other people, and the way everything is different when someone dies, and how the people feel when the person dies... that shit scares me, but being dead doesn't scare me in the least, after all, there is nothing I can do about it.

It is very easy to say that you do not fear death.
It is not hard to convince oneself of that either.
However, when actually faced with death, in it's unavoidable, certain coming.....
Theorys get smashed to bits and whatever you felt before might very well be warped and twisted into fear and panic.
I've thought I was a gonner a couple of times, and I got scared.
Though these where not calm, solem meatings with mr death. They where very violent. Hopefully, in more serene sourroundings, one would be able to hold on to ones faith and believes about death and the afterlife.
guess im rambling again

are you frightened of the sun setting or rising?
are you frightened of certain uncertainty?
are you frightened of spring, or summer, or fall?
death is nothing more than last cycle of this physical realm.
really there is no death, for there cannot be death where there is life.

Empty your mind of all thoughts.
Let your heart be at peace.
Watch the turmoil of beings,
but contemplate their return.

Each seperate being in the universe
returns to the common source.
Returing to the source is serenity.

If you don't realize the source,
you stumble in confusion and sorrow.
When you realize where you come from,
you naturally become tolerant,
disinterested, amused,
kindhearted as a grandmother,
dignified as a king.
Immersed in the wonder of the Tao,
you can deal with whatever life brings you,
and when death comes, you are ready

i bet every one of you who claims no fear of death will fear death many a few times more before you kick the bucket. hopefully you're just trying to say your fear of death isn't a persisting neurosis that has taken ahold of your life, but Chrrrrrrrrrist already - fear of death is hardwired right into your system, whenver your ego is under attack - whether real or neurotic, so cope with it.

Everything is better than it was the last time.  I'm good.

If we could look into each others hearts, and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other much more gently, with more love, patience, tolerance, and care.

It takes a lot of courage to go out there and radiate your essence.

I know you scared, you should ask us if we scared too.  If you was there, and we just knew you cared too.

When one stops thinking, one stops fearing.
Dead, yet my body breaths.

Quantum meltdown: If you experienced fear forever, eventually it wouldn't be scary anymore. Pain is only around when pleasure is around. With nothing to compare it to, it would eventually become the norm. That is sort of why when you are sick you feel like shit but then when you are back to normal you feel ggggreat. Kind of reenergized.
