Black-capped cyanescenes?

Hey, all. I was out picking around my school (U. of Washington) with 3 friends yesterday and we found a nice big patch of cyanescenes growing in one of those planter beds with alder bark in it. The patch was huge, and we only picked a few before going back (didn't want to attract attention, etc etc). We are absolutely sure these are cyans (two of the people who I was with are experienced hunters, I am not). They left for back home, so my other friend and I went out later that night and picked a bunch of them from the same patch. It was raining when we went out, and all the ones that we picked have black caps that look like they're covered in soot or something, and do not bruise quite as blue.
I have a few pictures putting the two side by side:
The top two plates are definately cyans, the bottom tray is what we picked later that night.
The three on the right are cyans, the rest are the mystery shrooms
Again, the three on the right are definately cyanescenes, and the one on the left is one of the mystery ones.
Sorry for the fuzziness of the pictures, if it's necessary I can try to get some sharper shots (camera's out of batteries).
Thanks for your help!

I am indeed, hey
And yes, they are okay to eat. They bruised blue and all that (same spore print, etc etc), so a friend of mine volunteered to test them.
He had the best trip I've ever had explained to me. The time of his life. Yay

They could be rotten, and they could just be covered in spores, or they may be infected with bacteria. The rot will smell, the bacteria will smell BAD, and the spores will rub off.

hahahha. I found some really nice specimens, today, in a park, in Everett. North Everett (near a River...hint hint). Very small patch. maybe 10 or so shrooms, but they were purdy, and I left about 10 small ones.
