Will these spores still be ok to use?

I'm sorry I searched and counldn't find the answer to this.
But I ordered spores several months ago, probably 5 months ago, and I've kept them refrigerated all since then. The note that came with it said they were only guaranteed to be active for 60 days, but should they still work anyway? Thanks.

it should be fine as long as you kept it refrigerated.

You should be fine, especially if stored in the fridge. Only one way to find out.

Where were the spores from? Just curious to know what company would include a note telling you how long they were "active" for.

Quote From "Lil' Shop Of Spores" If your not going to use your spore solution right away, the syringe should be stored in sealed zip-lock bags in the fridge or a cool dark place. Syringes can last as long as 18 months, but slowly degenerate over time. For best results, use within 6 months. BUT Spore prints can last up to 5 yrs. Just store them out of light in a cool dark spot.
Best of Luck!

I've used spore syringes that were stored in an outdoor shed, exposed to freezing and heat (temp range from -10F to 105F in the shed), some degrade was aparent but everything I inoculated with them still supported growth after 3 years of this exposure

I was just wondering about the "active" part. Spores are legal to sell because they contain no actives. Lil Shop is a good vendor

I'm not a good example, but I store them in syringe in a cupboard, no light but no temperature controle, and for the moment they survive more than 2 years. I use the "honey something (I can't remeber the name)" tek to multiply them and make like 10 syringes or more with a 1/10th of a syringe.

I think he meant "Viable" as opposed to "Active" Just Semantics
My oldest Viable print was 22 yrs My oldest Viable syringe was 5 yrs No special storage methods... just a drawer.

Thank you for the quick replies. I don't remember who I got it from I think The Little Guy, but it didn't say "active".. as Shdwstr mentioned, semantics. Probably said viable.
