There's a report on erowid about colorblindness and tripping, where the guy reported no change in his condition while tripping. I imagine it's the same for totally blind people. They would probably get the equivalent to CEV, though, I'd imagine. Damn, that sounds like a good experiment . . .

well i guess that settels it; lets round up some blind people and get em' high.

they shouldn't be to hard to catch... what with them being blind and all.

good point on the color blind thing, i had not read that.

Colorblind doesnt mean you cant see colors...it just means you have difficulty distinguishing them...i'm colorblind, my optomatrist tells me i'm red/green because i cant see the letters in the red/green dot tests, but ive never had a problem in real life...I get blues and purples mixed up a lot though, and greens and browns, i suppose i fuck up w/ red now and then too...tripping was just as incredible for me as it probably has been for you, no changes, my CEV's were 3d and geometrical and gorgeous, mostly red in color...dunno about blind people though

I read a trip report a long time ago that was either on Erowid or the Lycaeum where a blind woman ate some psilocybe mushrooms. I don't remember much about it other than she loved it, and had a better sense of her surroundings.

I believe in the DXM FAQ there's a reference to someone who had a blind spot. LSD (and, I think, mescaline) failed to produce visuals in the blind spot, but DXM did.

I too am severely red/green colorblind...I see all colors, just have a hard time distinguishing what some are (i.e. it could be green or it could be tan)...I see colors while tripping...and I have the same trouble distinguishing them...I just care a whole lot less!!!
