How do I stop the slugs frm eat'n my Cyan patches?

I have a patch of Cyans in my back garden and on the past two occasions when I've gone out to check the next flush I have found promising looking babies half eaten and dead, done by slugs. I love all animals but this travesty had to stop so I went out with some salt and salted the two slugs I could see. I was going to put some slug pellets down or just salt the whole area to kill 'em all but I was wondering if this would have a detremental effect on my patch, is there a safe way or have I got to stay up all night with my shotgun protecting my site?

Back in my MJ growing days, I read a boatload of stizzle before, during, and after growing on how to do this, that, the kitchen sink, etc.
Somewhere, sometime, I read about a safe, non chemical way to deter slugs. Now, I am not sure if this is 100% effective on such small things as mushrooms, but it would not hurt to try.
Get copper wire (a decent gauge... not hairline.)and lay it in a circle around your patch or make a couple of circles. Twist the two ends together and you 'dun did it.
Apparently just existing in a closed circuit causes a teensy weensy induction of electrical current through the copper wire. Slugs, being teensy weensy, slimy, membraneous creatures, touch it and are like "omgwtfbbq!" and are repelled.
Now I have never actually had problems with slugs in any cultivation medium before (god damn powdery mildew and mites!!! ::shakes fist::) so I am interested to hear how this works/others opinions on this matter.
goo' luck.

copper wire works well, but if they are determined they will still get in.There is a way to hook up 2 wires to a battery ,as long as the wires dont touch each other or the ground it should be alright. Make a frame out of wood, hammer in some plastic or wooden pins(i used steel nails at first and all of them on 1 side rusted in like 2 weeks[electrolysis]), and run your wires around that.Make sure theres no points where they can get over cos they'll hit the fence, then go right along it till they find a weak spot. This fence will kill small slugs and proper shock the big ones.
If all thats to much of a mission you can use vaseline on a veritcal surface (make a mini wall or something)
Put some beer it a tub and bury it so the rims just at ground level to trap em
dont use salt or slug pellets. Salt kills everything and slug pellets kill birds and shit

Ask them, nicely, not to eat the carmel wavy ones.
If that doesn't work then the copper wire boundary method is the best.
A ring of salt would soak into the ground, when the next rain comes and would be a worthless attempt.
Make sure you create a rain jacket for the battery, or it will corrode and leak acid, and then when you go to pick it up, it will burn you.

I think you need to eat some Cyan's and share with the Slugs..
You will find they are just out for the same reason you are
Take a tuna can and bury it level with the soil.. Fill it half way with beer and let them suckers drowned with dignity!
LOL it works..

no dont do that! once they get drunk they'll just start screwing eachother at random. You'll end up with MORE slugs!

I've never seen slugs eat Cyans. I know they LOVE Amanitas, but didn't know they like Cyans.
I can't imagine what it's like for them to trip.
Someone should do a study on brain activity of slugs right after a cyanescen dinner.

LMAO, I've wondered also about bugs tripping. People always talk about mushrooms being infested with bugs after they over mature/veil breaks etc...
I've seen squirells in my front yard pick a shroom out of a fairy ring and run up a tree and grub on it. Wonder what they'd be like if they got into my future outdoor beds??
