i was looking around at a local nursery and i found a decent amount of bins with different grains and stuff in them...one of them to my suprise had straw in pellet form...they are roughly about the size of a quarter each...obviously they are sort of compressed, but not too bad...how would i go about making them sterile?...i have a large pressure cooker, but im not sure how i should go about doing this...im not a rookie ...but ive just never had any interest in messing around with straw until i saw those

I would think to soak them in water, expand and loosen them, then pasteurize...

You probably don't want them too compressed, but then again - I could be wrong. They might act like dowels when a wood lover goes through them.

A PC will kill just about anything except those endospores in grain that haven't germinated. Straw, no problem - but I thought you might be killing a lot of the nutes in it from a PC...

Also you might want to mix the expanded straw with poo. If not poo, throw in some verm for water retention.

I know what strikes me as odd about this. It is totally unnatural. The whole idea is just totally backwards.

So are historians going to look back at 'The Great Cake Eaters'? Damn. That was a backwards step in the evolutionary process. We left Shroomheads in the dust. Welcome to the new age of Vermheads.

I ONLY STUDY legal, edible mushrooms and mycology. Any mention of any other kind of mushroom is purely fictional, and pictures are ripped from the internet. I do not grow mushrooms!
