Walmart has these foil pans with lids on them that make them perfect for casing as there is little room for error in humidity and keep the so many pins alive (always a problem with me). anyways, my Orrsia India looks so good. Cased with Cow Manure, i have never had such an even pin set before. Other casings ive had where always having to constently harvest mushies because the pin set was always apart over a week. I wish to post photos of it. looks beautiful.

Are you just taking the lid off to fan/mist or did you do some polyfill stuffed holes? My problem with those trays is that the lid doesn't want to come off easily and I end up shaking the casing up when the corner of the lid finally pops open.

do you mean - "spawned with cow manure" ??
If so, what casing did you use?

meams, i spawned on a mix of cow manure(wild), Verm and straw and then cased with cow manure compost from Houston Garden Center.
FooMan, i just used the lid and no holes with polyfill. but i know what your talking about. the pans that are $2.50 are better then the 2 for $2 because the cheaper ones bend easy and are always ruining the casing level. i had to crack the plastic lid at the corner just a little so it would come off easy every time.

I use those pans too when i am out of the long 22" from Ace hardware. i don't use the lid till my 5th flush. i place the trays in my greenhouse/martha and fruit. when they get around 4th-5th flush. i pop the lids on them, and stick em on a shelf and wait. usually a couple more "MEATERS" will pop out. these are the big one's (ocassionally i will mist in there, but usually i let em grow on their own.
Ya know, i have been doing tests about light on mycellium. i find out that even on the 5th flush... if i can stick the tray somewhere COMPLETELY!!! pitch black for 3-5 days in between flushes then expose to light, i get lots more fruits on the next flush. plus they feel like they need to survive... they go hogwild! stronger stems. IMO

aren't you guys having problems with the metabolic waste eating through the aluminum trays?
horse shit used to consistently create pits and holes in aluminum.
