Short introduction
    #4869516 - 10/30/05 02:10 AM (18 years, 3 months ago)

Hey all, just joined up here, although I used to read occasionally on the "old look" shroomery, I am an avid amateur mycologist, been self-teaching since age 4, not much experience in cultivating, but plenty in identification, eating, tripping and hunting

I'm a user of most drugs I can lay hands on, but mostly a responsible type (cough cough, I hear in the background ) Either way, I like to grow plants, hunt mushrooms, and expand my mind.

Other than that, I don't know what to say, I guess the word "bugger" will have to suffice

I remember that!  I received a warm welcome when I stumbled across this place and now I don't see myself ever leaving. The shroomery is my internet home.

Thanks for the welcome people, as for the username, it was total randomness chosen when I was still an obnoxious internet troll kid

Mycology wise, I have always had an interest in both ethnobotany and mycology, and more or less taught myself using field guides and the net since I was little and used to go out walking in the woods with my father, and gradually learned to identify species, sporeprint, reagent test etc. etc.  growing though, is fairly new to me, all I have done there, is a moderately successful Cubensis grow, Agaricus Bitorquis, and the oyster mushroom.

At the moment I am trying to broaden my horizons to include woodlovers, starting with a culture I am attempting, of Psilocybe Cyanescens mycelium from a wild sporeprint, three days old as of now, but hopefully, in time... and I will be probably moving on to P.Baeocystis when I can afford spawn.

Chemistry is more my field than growing fungi, but hell, there is always room to expand.

Xul, interesting choice of name, doesn't that translate to "god" in sumerian/akkadian? well, I have read the word alternatively translated as "god" "devil" and "demon" or "fiend", hehe.

Which one is it? or are you more of a demonic demi-god?
I knew someone with multiple personalities once, both of me did:biggrin:

Well I'm not a real knowledgeable person. I actually found it in one of my cd covers being used as a lyrics. They also explained what the word meant. It was something like  "light in one language, and dark in another language". Ill have to find the booklet though to find what languages, I forget.

Intersting enough! the album name is "Behemoth-Demi God"
