Yes Shroomism, I agree with you that that is Korean. (Seems to be the Korean version of the yin-yang). Unfortunately, I don't speak that. I belong to a different forum, where they might be able to help, although they are primarily focused on Japanese.

Although now that I think about it, it could possibly be Chinese. That is the symbol of formlessness, Bruce Lee made it for the martial art he created - Jeet Kun Do

I'm just making an educated guess here, but I think it's the Chinese Zodiac. I've never seen it around a before, but if our western astrology can be depicted around the sun/moon, then I guess it would make sense for thiers to be around the . So...that is my guess.

Also, there are 12 characters, but there are two 'YO's', I dont get that part. I guess it's a mystery...?

they are chinese characters. the ones that look like `yo`, are made up of the base radicals for mouth (the little `o`) and man. but i forget the meaning. in chinese writing, one character represents one word/meaning. i gave up studying chinese after living there for a year in 1993. (and eating chinese food - had enough to last a lifetime). most of them i recognize but cant remember. these characters are very stylised. except the one at 10 o clock, by itself, means `to have`. if it is part of a compound word it will contribute to a different meaning. my drug-addled memory tells me the character at 11 o clock means something like law/ force/strength/control, but dont trust me. its been a while.

It's chinese...its a higher difficulty of writing..kind of hard to explain....but here goes..by the way it can mean different things "someone without limits has limits" or.. "someone without following the law follows the law" it sounds kinda familiar...maybe its an old saying, like by a chinese philosopher this kind of sentence structure only appears in older texts hope that helps
