2 pf cakes (cubensis) were incubating for a REALLY long time, like 6 weeks at least. put them in and didn't realize that they had finally finished in like 2 weeks or whatever.
put them in humid birthing chamber @ ~70 with ~70-80% humidity (the new terrarium-dial reader could be inaccurate, but water has collected on cealing of container at all times, therefore assuming its got enough humidity, ). it's been 4 weeks in chamber, no fruit.
the cakes are pure white and hardish. they have no signs of mold. strain is cubensis-australian type.
what should i do to induce fruiting? can the cakes just DIE while in incubation for too long? would there be signs of cake death?

If there is condensation, your RH is good. If you're cakes are hard to the touch, they most likely dry. Dunk them and roll in verm.

so is fanning really necessary before you see pinning? (5 weeks now with no pinning) will dunk soon then.

please don't spray oust into your fruiting chamber, sure outside of it while it is still closed up and then let it settle for a few minutes before opening it. Otherwise it could cause mutations and other problems with the myc and mush growth.
fresh air exchanges are crucial to pinning and good shroom growth in general, the optimum number of air exchanges are 1-3 per hour, per hour, yes per hour.
best of luck
