Can myc eat dead shrooms?
    #4853391 - 10/26/05 01:12 AM (18 years, 3 months ago)

Well, when pins abort then get covered with fuzzy myc, IME they turn int o hard spikes of myc...then, within a few days, they can't even be noticed. Can't be found for that matter...

Do dead shrooms have nutes that will sustain mycelium growth? In a healthy poo casing, is it possible to have enough "anti-bodies" to defend against rot (from small, isolated pins).

I know what strikes me as odd about this. It is totally unnatural. The whole idea is just totally backwards.

So are historians going to look back at 'The Great Cake Eaters'? Damn. That was a backwards step in the evolutionary process. We left Shroomheads in the dust. Welcome to the new age of Vermheads.

I ONLY STUDY legal, edible mushrooms and mycology. Any mention of any other kind of mushroom is purely fictional, and pictures are ripped from the internet. I do not grow mushrooms!

I posted once about mushrooms as substrate and was told there is not enough nutes in the mushrooms (as they're used up in fruiting) to sustain growth.

It is my understanding that fruiting bodies are just complex formations of mycelium. Probably no nutrients but they are the same thing so maybe they grow back into mycelium under those conditions.

Larger aborts should be removed and used as they will rot otherwise. The little ones are supposed to be mor potent, too.
