To pick or not to pick?
    #4842467 - 10/23/05 06:07 PM (18 years, 5 months ago)

Which of these scenarios is best practice:

1) Pick shroomies off a cake as they reach maturity, but leave the others on to grow

2) Wait till the majority are at maturity and then leave the minority on to finish

3) Pick em all at once, regardless of size (assuming 90%+ are mature)

So I guess in other words: Put the cake back in the PmP to wait for stragglers to mature, or chop em all at once, dunk, repeat.

Thanks for your time/input!

Peace

To me would depend. If a small grow and you want to get as much as you can. Pick the mature ones, let the others grow. If a large grow you may not have time to let all catch up.

Makes sense. On a casing I think I would wait for everything to catch up as much as possible. On a cake, I think I would let the little guys get their grow on. I think I'll put that into practice.

Thanks all,

yeah thats usually what i did...atleast with just a small amount of brf cakes in an fc....pick the big onces and just let em grow out....but you want to get to a point where you harvest every shroom off the cake eventually, so you can dunk them and reroll em to increase your flushes.
