Psilocybe Baeocystis or Inocybe? HELP!
    #4840461 - 10/23/05 05:12 AM (16 years, 9 days ago)

Hi, I'm a bit confused on whether or not these are edible. I think that they are either Psilocybe Baeocystis or some form of Inocybe. These pictures are taken after about 7 hours of drying under a heat lamp. Another note is that the smell is very strong.

I don't think those are Baeo's.

Actually those probably are of the Inocybe Genera, and would probably make you really sick.

P. Baeosystis has a much thinner stipe, and has hardly any smell to it.

Many species of Inocybe have a strong odor. They also tend to have a very radially fibrous cap as your specimens do.

Happy mushrooming!
