Hi,

Thanks to the info I got in my last posting about Calea, I managed to root three cuttings from Calea zacatechichi. It took about 2 weeks to root. I used the same solution for Salvia divinorum, and it started to root in less than a week ;) It's incredible what 10^-10 Molar IAA and an Ingestad solution can do...

Wowie! What fine Calea cuttings. Calea is one of the few plants missing from my collection. I`ve tried growing from seeds bought from a reputable dealer of such products but to no luck. Are they difficult to root?

very easy to root in my experience, just a basic herbaceous cutting. If you can get you hands on a willow cutting, together the willow will help the calea root in a week's time.
