There is a place in Nor-cal that has a variety of silly shroom that grows on the roadside in the dunes adjacent to the pacific. I always see people looking for them this time of year but dont know which variety they are. any suggestions?

On the northern Oregon coast P. azurescens grows in exactly the habitat you mentioned. P. Azurescens is not generally though to extend south past the central Oregon coast. The range for P. cyanescens may extend to the northern Californian coast. Do you have any descriptions of the mushroom?

I bet they are azures, i know someone who picks them down on the calif/oregon border. I would imagine that by this time of the year they are most likely growing more prolifically the father south you venture. If its cold enough and wet they shold be fruiting ehhhy7aayayay. WOAKJ!
