Since we all wanna find as much mushies as possible(well I know I do)
some of us have never picked some are experts
myself I have only ever pick fly agaric , stunziis and beaocystis
anyway why dont we all say where we are from I am from
maple ridge BC which is on the west coast of canada
once we start finding out who lives close to who I am sure the mushroom hunting forum will become evn better??????/
what do you all think???

dont be so freaked out look I live on the west coast of BC in the lower mainland I think if we post where we all live (not your house or anything) and we can figure out ways to help each other this section is called mushroom hunting and I thought my idea would be a great one

Hey, I often vacation in Canada. In fact, last year I actually spent a week shroom picking while there. I believe they were P. Stunzii or something, small, white mushrooms that bruised blue on picking. I wish my memroy was a bit better so I could describe them more in depth, but if anyone has any idea if this is truly a magic mushroom (me and my buddy didn't pick enough to "test" them ;-) input would be appreciated. Does anyone know the seasons, poisionous species that look similar, and ways to identify? I also spent some time on the Haida Gwaii Islands, beautiful place, beautiful shrooms. Cyansesis (however its spelled) I believe. I suggest you look into these if you ever visit there, awesome shrooms ;-)

Hey I'm in Port Coquitlam just moved here last week.
There is nothing illegal about hunting for psilocybes. Cops in BC don't give two shits about that.

I know people who live there actually.
Is there any shrooms in season in the Pacic NW right now? I'm going to be travelling up there in a few weeks and I'm interested in looking around for magics, if anyone knows any that might be in season can you please point me in the right direction? So I can research em! Thanks, much appreciated :-)

No kidding! I'm in PoCo too, Last season me and my freind were picking handfulls of stunziis across from the mall and a cop was pulled over for like 20 minutes giving some guy a traffic ticket about 15 or 20 metres down the road... we kept on picking the whole time... We just kept a bit of distance and didn't go up to the guy like "scuze me officer, could you move over you're standing on some mushrooms I'd like to pick..." They really don't care.

Bahahahahaha! 
Give a guy a break. Cops don't really even give a big shit about psychadelics, especially not wild growing mushrooms! ...well, they do - but not compared to other drugs. Actually, there seems to be a heaps bigger "shroom" culture in the US, down here in Australia "mushies" - as we know them - are a very rarely used drug! To some people they're just a myth. They're certainly not sold by drug dealers! That's such a weird concept to me.  Cops wouldn't even know what they look like, and even if you got caught you could just say you thought they where normal edible mushrooms, "thankyou officer for saving me from 'poisoning' my precious little mind!".
Hmmm, I'm obviously rambling like a lunatic.
My point is: they guy is not a cop, just a fellow hunter wanting a few mates. Give him break! LOL

Columbus GA, and loving it thus far... and hey a few years back I got quiet a few pepole together and made a weekend run for the sea Westpore washington, we all had a great weekend, and learned alot. It is not about getting high, here on this board it is about learning. I for one have learned alot, and wish to learn alot more about the sport of the hunt.
