Tor - What Do You Know About It?
    #4821603 - 10/18/05 04:57 PM (18 years, 3 months ago)

Tor

Have you heard of it?
Have you used it?

Looking for any feedback on this. Thanks!

That does look promising! I'll play with it this evening, after I have me some grub. BTW, Privoxy can be had here....

I'm using Opera --> proxomitron --> privoxy --> Tor. Use privoxy for the socks4a, that way your DNS servers will never be queried, all name resolutions will be done through the TOR network. Trash M$IE

You could also set up a rules based firewall (outpost seems to work well). Unless you use proxomitron with filters, be wary of javascript. Don't trust Tor entirely. I believe if an opening node was compromised, so would be your security, so be careful...

I am not even close to an expert, there are many easy to find ones out there though...

I use it with squid (harder to set up than privoxy) and I love it. Works better than JAP.
