what are your thoughts on this theory? my friend and I recently watched the nova special on the string theory while dosed on fungi. The movie seemed to make our trip way more intense than any other trip. It seemed beyond reality loss. at one point my body and mind were in complete euphoria. Not a single moment was i having negative thoughts either.
this trip was much different than any other. Instead of doing something, like listening to music or going to the woods, we didn't need to do anything. We stayed in my house the whole time. We didn't have a need to do anything because nothing was perfect enough. it was the most visual and mental trip ever. plus the body high resembled being on e or high amounts of opiates!I was on the floor, melting in and out of existance, being one with universe.
i wanted to see if anyone else ever had any experiences with this movie. what are your thoughts about the theory?

I'm not sure if it's the same one but I saw a movie on it for my Astronomy class last year. It was very interesting. Definitely out there.

yeah man, i watched all three parts of the elegant universe not long ago. it's some amazing stuff, i can't imagine learning about quantum mechanics and strings and parallel universes and other dimensions while on shrooms. it's mind blowing enough sober, but i'm glad it was a good trip for you you should read holograhpic universe if you haven't already. and watch nova specials as often as possible. string theory is definitely the most widely known unifying theory, but they make some important observations in the elegant universe, specifically that it's a theory that can never be tested or proven, at least by any means we know of right now. so then it can't really be called anything more than philosophy. i think that's probably more of a failing of science to disregard those things that exist which can't be measured or observed. our perception of what is "real" doesn't accept things like parallel universes, OBE's, strings, spirituality...but by that same logic, dreams and emotions wouldn't exist either...anyway, rambling. lets hear some thoughts on this.

There are thousands of types of philosophies out there, most of which regard things which can't be measured or observed.
Please leave science for us skeptics.
