I have a print of the ps. Quebecensis. I've been meaning to send 1/2 of it to Workman but I dont have his old po box addy anymore. I dont live in the right climate to make this one happen so I"ll pass it on...i'm sure Workman can work some magic with it. I better PM workman and get his addy.

Where did you get the print? That is crazy that someone actually has one, I ahev only seen two bad pics of this. I would really love to try and grow it...would need some agar work...but man cool. Hopefully I can find some this year, I live right on the border of quebec...where it was discovered.

I got it from a guy in Quebec Canada who has been picking them for several years. He attempted to cultivate them but was unsuccessful at it. The letter was from Canada and the guy sounded like he knew what he was talking about.. he even sent a few pics along but I have since lost them. He also said he had been eating them (and tripping) for several years so they are definatly psilocybe species. He said they were not prevelant in his area but could always count on finding some each year growing on old log stumps by a creek. I've since lost the emails and have no contact with him unfortunatly.
He asked for nothing in return just wanted to help spread the species...so I am pretty sure its the real deal
I'm sending the print I have to Workman to let him work his magic with it If anyone can do it I'm sure Workman can.

Sounds excellent, I wish that you had not lost contact with him...would love to see whati could do with a print. But if anyone in my area could find them it will be me...evry persistant...hiked about 200km this fall, and turned up some interesting finds. By the way what did they look like? Anything like the unidentified psilo I found this year? Here is the link. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=Forum3&Number=504299&Forum=Forum3&Words=caerulipes&Match=Entire%20Phrase&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=492247

Oh you guys are going to love this one. The same day, the 15th I was writing that above about this quebecensis strain, and losing contact with the guy who mailed it to me.....and talking to Workman in PM's about giving him my only print.......I received an email from Jaque, the finder of the quebecensis. I had not checked those emails until today.
So there it was, an email from him telling me he found more quebecensis and mailed me 2 more prints last friday.
The energy of these psilocybe mushrooms always seems to amaze me in new ways. Here I was thinking about that strain, and getting that print to Workman...and this guy Jaque puts 2 in the mail for me...then contacts me a few days later to see if I had got them yet. The same day I'm posting I lost his email addy.
I'm still waiting to hear back from him weather he read this thread...but I kind of doubt it.. he did not mention it.
I think this mushrooms energy is just reaching out to be rediscovered and brought back to the masses
