Is my casing of 50/50 vermiculite and peatmoss supposed to get covered with the myc? While i have been waiting to see this happen, mushrooms have started to grow in random areas of my baking tin. Normal, not normal, too much of something, too little of something? can anyone let me know?

Yeah, the casing gets covered. Lightly. Just watch out for THICK coverage.
