I am new at picking mushrooms and I want to, of course, be safe! I just picked what I think are either panaeolus foenisecii (haymakers pan) or panaeolus subbalteatus (belted pan). The spore print is real black and visually they fit the description well as described in David Arora's "Mushrooms Demystified". they were found in an un-fertelized lawn near a holly tree in a coastal nor-cal environment. Are there any look-alikes to be concerned with? Better yet, are there any other techniques that would narrow my search? any help would be appreciated.
