Fan drying only

can you dry mushrooms only using a fan. not using dessicant. and if so how long would that take?/

I think you are on the right track, drying without heat is a great way to keep strength, yes it takes a little longer but it's worth it.....70-72-degrees with a good wind will take 2 days average unless you have 2 gram singles to dry......it's like a cure and a dry..be patient and do it you'll lose little strength.........

Using a fan will take about 2 - 3 days and will preserve potency fairly well. A better way is to use a fan to dry out your buddies for 12 - 24 hours, then placing them in a dessicant chamber. Your dessicant will last a lot longer this way and you will get cracker dry shrooms with good potency : ) www.drierite.com <--- best dessicant, about $8 for a pound of it (compared to $15 when you don't order it directly from them).
