Dunked cakes may turn a bit blue and will be a little heavier than before.

Other than the fact that they sometimes blue, your cakes will basically look just the same as they did before you dunked.

I've asked this question 4 or 5 times: Cakes already in the pod, prior to pinning: Take them out and dunk them? Dunk them and roll them? Good? Bad?

You can do that if they haven't started forming pins. It will make the time until you get fruits a bit longer, but the results are worth it for sure.

Cut your mushrooms open hotdog style and look at the inside. If no dark color on the inside (besides bruising blue) then it's prolly just bruising and/or spore deposit
