I purchased a small green house incubater today,Its just a three teer ,shelves with a clear plastic cover and zipper front door. Its bottom is open.I just was wondering if any one had a good idea on the humidity.(HOW TO KEEP HIGH)I was thinking on putting a large pail of perlite in the bottom shelve with heat pad underneeth and, misting.Or I have a small room size cool mist humidfier.Does anybody have experiance with these kind of setups.I could use some tips all the help I can get.THANKS SHROOMERS.....

It needs to be completly (or as close as posible)air tight to expect the air inside to get the level of humidity you would need for growing cakes quickly and to their fullest potential . 85-95% humidity (around) . casings require little less as ive heard from this forum. Im speaking as a beginner with success using the pf tek.

i have a 5 shelf system that i put together myself exactly the same but the bag fully encloses the shelf and zips up the front. right now i have a cool mist humidifier "inside" the grow room and also a hepa filter. you will have no probs keeping the humidity high with a humidifier if you figure out some way to totally enclose it (the shelf). i also have a hepa filter inside my grow room and him and the humidifier don't like each other much, plus the humidifier is leaving the entire shelf it is on wet. so it is coming out tonite. i have a airtight rubbermaid that i am going to put the humidifier inside, cut a hole in the side and attach a pvc t-connector. from the two junctions in the conecctor i will run pvc pipe into my grow room with filterdiscs on the end. then create airtight seals with silicon glue.one humidity exhaust will be on one of the top shelfs one on the lower, which should be sufficient humidity, i have a digital thermometer/hygrometer and i always reads"HI" on the humidity. i am actually beginning to wonder if my hum. may be too high. but alas, my grow room is still a baby. i have 20 pf cakes inside right now that were birthed 6 days ago, so i cannot report on the effecientcy of my grow room but if my plan works i will have 21.5 cubic feet of grow space neatly confined to the back of my closet!!! p.s i'm also gonna move the hepa filter to the bottom shelf to disperse the co2. do you guys think this whole set-up will work? any suggestions, tips, or ideas??
