I was collecting up all my jars because i was going to mix up and innoc another dozen jars. While finding all my jars i found some i put back into the box because i innoculated and the spores never germinated. Well i found the jar today filled with mycellium and several huge invitro shrooms! i wasnt planning on havin a trip tonight, but i dont have to work tommorow, here goes nothing =)

If after you innoculate a 1/2 pint jar with spores and they are not cultivating (maybe due to heat of previous steralization) is it ok to re-innoculate them?

your better off to just dump the jar ad re-mix the stuff.

How long has it been? If it's been less than two weeks. Be patient and wait a while. But I wouldn't recommend re-innoculating. To many things could have been wrong. Maybe the substrate was too dry, maybe it was overcooked, maybe it has contams, etc. If it didn't work the first time, why would want to try on the same jar? Start new.
