GRR! She needs to grow up!

It's really hard to keep the "love" attitude towards some people...even my own 19 year old sister.
My family is just like any other moderate/low class family of today; they are fucked up with many social/psychological malfunctions(looking from a perspective of the eye in the sky, so to say). My sister above all. Although it's very noticeably inherited from my mother.
I had written out a big post, was so angry at the time and then I couldn't post because of maintence. But this is going to be much shorter.
Long story, short:
My sister was getting angry because of her wireless internet not working. My dad is having a couple beers, listening to some old rock n roll. He's such a good guy and is just relaxing with some mellow classic rock. My sister was getting angrier and angrier and got my dad all involved helping to try and fix things. He tried for 30 minutes and couldn't figure it out. She started to turn on him and this is where the GRR parts comes in. My dad tried to get away from it, going into a different room, but they continued their conversation through the wall. My sister was literally freaking out, screaming at the top of her lungs(and there was no reason to be screaming) and started saying stuff like...
"Just talk to me tommorrow, you can't drink and do drugs" "You are just drinking and doing drugs cause you can't handle the stress. That's the only way you know how" "Go smoke another one dad, go drink another, that'll help loser"
The entire time, she was screaming these at my dad. Literally at the top of her lungs, almost losing her voice. He just sat there and took it. She's been a spoiled brat her entire life and my dad is the most caring individual towards his dauther. More so than I've ever seen. It actually really used to piss me off as a kid how good she was treated compared to me Sibling rivarly at it's finest! He has supported the entire family for 25+ years, catered to my sister's every needs and has taken ALL of her shit for the past 5 without saying a word.
But she was really going for the throat. My dad is an upstanding guy. He kicks back once in awhile and has some beer and when he does smoke pot on a RARE occasion, it's something he keeps somewhat private. But she knows and uses that shit against him(learned it from my mother). And she was saying much more than that and it was all in the nastiest way possible.
After that she went in her room and came out 10 minutes later with tears in her eyes and was doing the drama queen pouting thing. Not talking and with the exageratted upset/sad look on her face My dad kept trying to start a conversation with her, being nice and stuff, trying to basically "forgive and forget"...and it only played into her sense of "control" over him and the situation. GRRRRR!!! And I just love the comments about marijuana and alcohol even though it's ok for her to get that triple triple everyday and to go to the bars once in awhile herself.
I can't stand my own sister being that nasty, especially to my father. You know she's saying these things because she KNOWS they are hurtful. I KNOW that's the intention and she knows it too. I mean god, some messed up wiring in my family...especially my sister. She was being so nasty to my dad and he didn't say a word. I commend him on that. I shouldn't blame her though totally, she has picked up a lot of my mom's "mis-wiring" in the head....it's actually kinda freaky. Mental malfunctions spread so vast and so easily among human beings.
I piped up and was like, "yea, and handling the "stress" the best way is to scream, yell, insult and in short, attack someone else in the coldest, cruelest way possible"

Ya, let your dad know what a good job he does and how much you appreciate it. He's probably pretty confused and maybe depressed right now, I mean, all the hard work he goes through for her and then she gets on his case just because he likes to get drunk and smoke a little green. As long as he can still support her financially and emotionally while he does it she shouldn't complain.
Sounds like your sister has stress to deal with herself.

You said you're 19? You didn't say if your sister is younger or older... I'm guessing younger about 17 or so?
Your sister sounds like a typical 17 year old girl. I bet she grows out this drama queen phase and turns out to be a decent chick. You should tell you dad how much you appreciate him. I bet that would make his day.
My dad has a letter from an angsty, angry 16 year old me, apologizing for my behavoir in a moment of clarity. Parents are good like that.

no, I'm in my 20's. My sister is 19. She really isn't doing any growing up. Still a bitch to everyone, always wants her way(it's crazy listening to her talk to her "friends" on the phone even). She treats people like crap.
But yea, I told my dad not to worry, that she was just pmsing or something.
And tommorrow she'll act like nothing happened...as long as she is getting her way.
