Traveling with colonizing jars?

I'm about to inoculate 12 jars using the Hippie Tek, BUT, I have to drive home(400 miles of flatland) in a little over a week! Will the bumps of the highway affect colonizing too much? or should I wait until I get home to make my lil' devils? I really want to start now, but I must do what's best for the shrooms. Please to give me advice or experiences with traveling with freshly inoculated/colonizing jars. thanks!

so they should be done colonizing at the end of a week? if they're not done completely colonizing, would I have to take any other precautions when taking them home? I'll cover them up fine, that's not really a problem, I just want to make sure I don't shift the substrate and tear the root system(or the likes). I'm paranoid my first growth will be ruined! thanks for your help though.

You should have no problem. A few weeks ago I was traveling across country about 1500 miles and took mine along in the car. My car broke down and sat over night in the cold (got down to about 35F). The next day I junked the car, got a few boxes packed my stuff up and got on a 2 day bus ride. A mishap happen when I arrived and couldn't get my stuff for another day. Thru all that my jars all survived no problem birthed them recently and having some nice flushes. They were under the bus (in boxes packed in clothes) so they probably got some extreme temp flucuations. One jar that was 90% colonized and had a few huge shrooms on it by the time I got to see them again. The others had just been innoc. and were fine. Long story short, they will be fine.
