Shrooms vs Trains

My friends at The Shroomery,
I find this to be a great place to visit for many reasons. There is a wealth of knowledge here and I truly value the advice you all give me.
I've recently been looking for a new house and I am planning on getting a basement. I want a basement so I can spend some time away from work and do something I enjoy. It will also be nice to get away from my wife's bitching. We love each other, but sometimes it's enough already.
I have 2 projects I'm considering for the basement. Now, I realize I'm talking to a biased crowd here, but please here me out.
I'm 33 and have enjoyed since I was 18. This basement would be an EXCELLENT opportunity to grow some Shiitakes and what not. It would give me great pleasure grow and share.
The other project I was considering is a massive HO scale model railroad. I've enjoyed trains since I was a kid, and would love to build a set up with some of the trains I admired in my youth. Something about trains just captures me. The beauty and power of a freight train or coal train just brings out the kid in me and it would be great fun.
We've all seen the images of the mushrooms here on The Shroomery. To be fair, here are some of the other images I enjoy....
Psychedelic sky and some beautiful Conrail Locomotives....
Metra trains I watched as a kid. Chicago in the background....
Cool looking pics of some track....
Well, there ya have it.
So what do ya think?? Shrooms or trains??

Yes in fact it did, and that may be an option down the road. I'd really just like to concentrate on one though.

Yeah, there's room enough for both and a loud boom box and a chair. Good tunes, trippin' shrooms, watching the trains go around. Shit, now I wanna do it!

I can just be so indecisive. Making choices is not something I'm good at.

Then grow some mushrooms, have a long heavy introspective trip about what you really wanna do for the basement. Then figure it out

I'd do both! I've always wanted a layout, too. Perhaps you could fit the both in your basement.....

You guys are starting to convince me that maybe I could do both.
I mean, what the hell good are hobbies anyway if you can't enjoy them to the fullest right?

I always grew my Shiitake outdoors. Any other fungi genus species would only need a small shelving unit in the corner. Alas leaving lots of room for trains. So I also vote for both.

I just noticed you were from Ohio. There used to be a cool train shop up on northern Indianola Ave. in Columbus.

I have dreams of flyingover trains, they are noisy and annyoing when you need some sleep...in fact I hear one now..I lives very close to them in fact.. but I liked the thought of trains as a form of tranporting on rails...I lived right next to the tracks for a year..
