I've heard alot about bad trips but what was it that made it bad? did u feel bad or were u actually geekin out on the visuals? i havent yet experienced shrooms and im just trying to further my knowledge here to get a bad ass first time trip..

it depends on alot of things....
last bad trip i had was mushrooms..
i killed a spider why i was waiting for the shrooms to hit, within 2 hrs the spider i killed(small as hell alive) came big as hell in my mind.. my hole ceiling was this spider trying to grub me,.... ehh

it all depends on your set and the environment you are tripping in...if you are around people you don't know, or make you feel uncomfortable, you will be inhibited and not free to be yourself and go with the trip. the most important thing is not to fight the feelings that are coming and just go with it no matter what, but if you're in certain circumstances where you can't do that, the trip could get very uncomfortable. also depends on your mood going into the experience, and what kinds of things you have going on in your personal life. bad moods and recent traumatic experiences could play into your trip and cause it to turn bad. let us know when you decide to do them! good luck

never had a bad trip. i've had trips that turned scary and/or difficult but i learned from them and would never call them bad.
i'll just say that setting and the people around you are very important.

i once completely freaked out on lsa (hawa?an baby woodrose)... :
as i look back why :
1/ i took it in a rather dark period of my life when i was generally depressed
2/ i took it at a stupid time (right after a quite busy day)
3/ i didn't have enough trip-experience to cope with the strong bad vibes
4/ i did not know the effects profoundly enough (
i did not know it was VERY stimulating)
5/ i hadn't documented me enough on tripping...
the result: I though i was dying and I even went to ER
(a smart doctor gave me some valium and I recovered)
after all: a extreme intense trip...which gave me a lot of lessons
(when thinking you're dying .... you see you're life pretty clear! )

The one time i had a bad trip was when i thought i had lost all my money and i couldnt stop thinking about it and it really freaked me out. Just try to be worry free before taking them.

My first 1/8 of strong shrooms came on really fast and I tried to fight the visuals thats were flying at me. Fighting them got me scared of them, I began to slowly think they were more real every min. Recently I took some acid and saw the same shit I saw on the shroom trip except now they were more 3-D and come faster and longer, I didnt fight it at all and just watched and waited to see what would happen when they got really really close to me. Thats the only way I really get a bad trip is fighting the visuals.

i once had a heavy trip, we took loads, i mean the other guy ended up on prescribed tabs as he really didn't have his head together afterwards, I however thought it was visually surreal, enducating, amazing and felt as though i was in a living Dali painting! Although years after I suffered a little bout of unnecessary paranoia. It all depends are where your head is at before you take the stuff!

I've only had one "bad" trip ever, and it was a strange occurence. Prior to, I had lots of experience with LSD, and had done mushrooms plenty of times. I ate about 2 grams (that's all!) of dried cubensis. After an hour, things just got nasty and wierd. Every room I was in was shrinking on me, and voices sounded like CDs skipping. And I had terrible nausea. All I could do was tough it out, but eventually I felt better. I have NO idea what caused this bad trip, as I was with friends and was in a good state of mind for tripping at the time. I figure one scary trip is bound to happen at some time when you trip a lot.

We both took 3.5 grams of lipa yai aborts. We played old skewl atari. Video olympics i believe on the come up, once we both started feeling we decided to go on a walk, we smoked some pot and left. Things started get way trippy.... I was starting to get nets and spiderweb stuff enwrapping everywhere i looked. Chainlink diamond style patterns where forming all over. Shrinkings growing all that.... I knew where i was still and everything i was just wanting to make it back home to my place. My buddy also way tripping starts questioning me if i knew where i was. I kept telling him i did. Then what made us freak out even more was a police had pulled someone over that turned to get ticketed on our off road and it was near us. This made us both freak out and we started booken it the back way into my condo place. He gives me the oddest look of like he didnt trust me and was about not come with me and go a different way.... That moment was so intense..... i cant even put words to it. I was like "COME ON MAN LETS GO" and he followed me back thankfully.
Well i got him to come back with me and once i got home i went to insane paranoid he was gonna call the cops on me or somthing crazy. I thought the police where landing on the roof and everything. He stopped talking to me and was just sitting on the couch saying nothing. Finally he said somthing like "im fucked leave me alone right now". I went lvl 5 and dont remember about an hour. Finally i remember sitting in my bean bag trying to watch loony tunes on cartoon network. I couldnt make anything of it, it was all so random it seamed. I recognized i had seen the episodes a million times. Like the one with bugs bunny throwing the match down into the xplosives on the ship with yosemite sam stands out as just being insanity.
Finally im coming to and feeling better about everything. I smoked marijuana but it didnt seam to have any efect and i started talking to my buddy again who finally started talken normal to me again.
We have both tripped quite a bit on lsd and mushrooms and i dont know what the fuck happened. Ive dosed higher then that on mushroom over 5 times and nothing pailed to the shear intensity of that trip. Ive never had auditory hullicinations so much before.
He told me he was convinced he had gone insane and while he woulldnt talk to me he said he was playing thru his head his parents and stuff finding out that he had gone nuts on mushrooms.
I love zach tho, but man the was nuts!

The worst trip I ever had was on far too much acid at a festival in the eighties. I was on my own, and had only tripped a couple of times before. It was a terrifying nightmare of trying to keep tight control and getting buried in ever decreasing circles of nasty thoughts and really scary pictures and sounds. My walkman started telling me I was rotten to the core. I wet myself!. Couldn't ask anyone for help.
Losing your ego, your defences and reasoning, etc, is really scary, especially when you don't know what is happening, and there's no one to ask.
It's that old chestnut set and setting, isn't it.

my last trip went sour due to the presence of some non-shroomers who took it upon themselves to freak me out. we're talking people jumping on me and screaming in my face and jerking around...definitely very very scary. stay away from bad vibes. if you feel some, recognize them as such and get the hell away from them. it's necessary to take charge of situations like that and do what it takes to make your environment safe and comfortable.

My last trip went sour as well, I think the catalyst was a combination of taking way too much and losing my friends in a deserted area

I did 3 hits of acid once and had a bad trip.
I was at a friends house, all the people I was around were very close friends. At the time though I ws the only one doing drugs, everyone else was drinking, there was a friend on the way over though that was going to join me in the acid. At firt I was hesistant to take mine while he wasnt here, everyne else was drunk and I would be tripping. But I called him up and he said hed be there with in the hour, so I said fuck it and took my tabs.
Right about when they first started kicking in he got there which was great. He took his hits and we tripped together. We listened to music, he did some glow sticking...it was great. But then his g/f got there and they did there thing together. So I was pretty much on my on...tripping by myself on 3 hits. Well i figuired TV might help, so i turned o nthe tube...only to find almost eveyrthing on had to do with death. I ended up watching a Movie about some teenagers that avoided death somehow...and death was chaseing them. There was one part where a kid was on a railroad track or something and a train was coming to him. I got so involved in the movie I started to yell "WATCH OUT MOVE !!!!" but it was to no avail. After that death started kreeping up in m mind and all I could think about was death. I told myself that its nothing, and that it happens to everyone, but it stills cared the shit out of me. I tried talking to my drunk firends about it, but they didnt care at the time...they were drunk. i tried to talk to my friend who was tripping, but he and his g/f were ina room by themselves..so i didndt want to bother them.

I hate being aroudn drunk people when i'm high or trippin, it usually pisses me off and I just gotta leave. I find that if I'm in a house and there are lots of people talking at once then it can be overwhelming and make me start to freak out.
I've only had 1 bad trip and it was in the middle of a public park, and I wasn't too worried about people lookin at me.
I think that its always possible for a bad trip to happen no matter what. My friends and I were just goofin around my house trippin one day and i ended up thinking about my 'family' (divorce, etc.) and right away I started feeling shitty. But then my friend just yelled something hilarious and I forgot about it.
Funny friends and video games will gaurantee anyone a good trip in my opinion! nature can be good and bad.
HALLOWEEN IS COMING UP..... trip , anybody? lol

Remember one time I took a really large dose of 2cb. It was the second time I had ever taken 2cb and was still somewhat unfamiliar with it. I was also by myself, very bad idea. Because there was nobody else around to break me out of it my mind was stuck in a vicious cycle of thinking "we're born, we live, we die, whats the point, life is futile". I will say however that it gave me much incite and since then I have never ever had a bad trip by myself, at the time though it was a very scary place to be.
