So tomorrow is the beggining of the rest of my life. I'm taking Lucy for the first time with a few others. We're really into music and would like to experience some good tunes to make this experience a memorable one!
I'm going to make a few cd's to switch on and off throughout the night, so list some of your all time favorite tripping songs & if you want, why it's your favorite. Are their certain lyrics to it, certain sounds?
List As many as you'd like !!
Note: I've already got the Nothing Lasts.. but Nothing is Lost CD that i'll be taking with me, and that's probably enough Shpongle for anyone for the night , so I'm not really looking for any Shpongle suggestions. Just some all around good tunes people

There was a thread not too long ago with a bunch of really good suggestions, can't seem to find it but u might wanna search. I would say u should check out anything aphex twin or infected mushroom, there is so much going on in their songs that it makes your mind bounce all over the place. Never heard any phish before but the other night when I was tripping I listened to the rift and it was really amazing.

I recommend:
Kaki King - "Night After Sidewalk" & "Doing the Wrong Thing" or every one of her songs.
Its beautiful acoustic guitar music and I have tripped with it many times. Its very lite music- my favorite for tripping it does not get intense (but your visuals will!)

Thanks, yeah I've been checking out a few other threads. I'm going to take a CD or two with electronic-type music on it because I'm the type of person who could listen to anything and have a good time, but the few people I will be with prefer classic-rock, etc. So I figured i'd stick with that for the night so we can experience things together.
Shpongle - Nothing Lasts...but Nothing is Lost (For Me ) a few Phish songs (Farmhouse ) Jimi Hendrix - Electric Ladyland Pink Floyd - Darkside of the Moon
Tom Petty - Free Falling, sounds like it'd be cool to hear. Elton John & John Lennon - Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds
Joe Satriani - Surfing With the Alien
Hm, what else .. ?

Most of that is techno stuff, but I think it's good. Just some stuff off the top of my head, hope it helps!

you have to experience "The Piper at the Gates of Dawn", Pink Floyd's first cd. i listened to it on my last trip, and its never been the same since. (Syd made the cd for tripping pretty much, a lot of LSD influenced music). it blew my mind, and i look forward to listening to it again on my upcoming trip. so awesome.

I love a band called The Unicorns when I'm tripping on either acid or mushrooms. They are very indie, and the guitars and keyboards are quite a treat for the ears.
If you'de like some more mellow-ish stuff, check out Badly Drawn Boy. A few songs I especially like are "Camping Next to Water", "The Shining", and "Magic in the Air".
You also can't go wrong with Pink Floyd.

Some of the tracks form the PC game "Unreal" are awesome for relaxed solo tripping. Likewise for many of the Dreamcast game "Ecco - Defender of the Future" tracks.
I'm planning on listening to the movie "Crash" soundtrack and the videogame "Riven (Sequel to Myst)" soundtrack during my next trip. They both sound like good tripping material to me.
