hello, i doont have tyvek filters so I use aluminum... when PCing the jars with rye, should I screw the lid all the way or let it lose, and also, whatever the case is, should I put elastic wrappings around the aluminum foil covering the lids?

>>>>>i doont have tyvek filters so I use aluminum<<<<<<

Aluminum foil will not FILTER anything. How could it, being solid? Don't answer.

FIND TYVEK, OR USE POLYFIL.

I've used alumin foil covering the lids before and had decent results. Im pretty sure there are more people that use this, its not like i put aluminum foil like you would put the tyvek, but you put it in top of the lid. I said I have done this before, but I forgot if i had to adjust the lids or not, you should be able to tell me this wether you use tyvek or simply aluminum...
