does anybody know the details of the reaction that cubensis mycelium has to light in order to begin pinning? is a certain chemical secreted or anything similar? would it be possible to create some sort of spray or similar additive that would simulate this reaction?

It?s a hormone produced by the mushrooms.
There has been some reserch done with a primordia extract used for spaying the casing surface with Agaricus species.
Consult Stamets? books for more information.
