DO YOU THINK ITS DOOMED NOW?
    #479700 - 12/04/01 03:55 PM (22 years, 4 months ago)

I got rye grain stuck up in my syringe when i was inncoulating the jars. I sterilized a sewing needle with alcohol then with a match. I stuck it up in the syringe to get the blockage clear. A lil rye got into the spore water inside the needle. Do you think the needle and the rest of the spore water is contaminated? Has this ever happened to anyone?

im guessing your fine. if the rye grain was sterilized, and is floating in the water not on the surface i think you should be fine. if there is air in the syringe the air can help oxidize some bacterial spores that are deeply imbedded in the rye that dont usually do shit after sterilization, sometimes these deeply imbeded spores can contaminated an aged casing or jar, but i dont think it will have many if any effects on the syringe. just remember to sterilize thoroughly when you use it next. ive been on shrooms for the last two days. im dead fucking serious.......iim starting to think clearly again though..
