Starting choice of shroom

Yo, ive been reading a lot lately and i am definatly going to grow in the very near future. I might be a noob to growing, but i am not in the act of ingestion. I decided i want to grow PESA. Anyone think this is a good idea or not. I know its not one of the more popular starting choices, but it doesnt sound like they are too difficult.
edit - i want pesa because of the apparent potency.

I always say b+ is the best starting strain, but pesa is not that difficult either. What methods are you thinking about doing cakes, wbs, casings, bulk, etc.?

I tried two different strains my first go, B+ and Mexi-Cub. The B+ was a disappointment. Although I got some nice sized fruits, they suffered from hollow stems (as I guess many of the B+ do). This ended up yielding (gram-wise) a smaller amount than what it looked like. Both strains were about the same speed colonizers, Mexi-Cub had a fast turn around between flushes.

Lipa Yai is the only one I've grown so far. VERRRRRY potent - at least compared to the one time I took shrooms of an unknown strain - def Cubensis tho.

i started with ecuadorians and puerto ricans....but changed species with subsequent grows. there isnt much change between species, atleast difficulty wise of getting them to grow, that i noticed with each change. like gema said, learn by doing. there isnt one specific strain of cubies that is ridiculously more potent than the rest. they may have subtle differences, but nothing profound.

I don't really know the answer to your question. But I am a noob to growing too and I decided to use the Brazilian strain. From what I have heard it is a really nice strain.
