Tight or loose?

I was wondering if it is better to keep the jar lids tight or loose while incubating? I have heard pro's and con's for both so I wanted to see what everyone else thought. Any info would be appreciated. Peace.

Loose. This will promote air exchange.

Yes, but the # 1 suspect is usually dry substrate.
