I thought this might be of some use. We all knew there was a free way to dry shroomies outside of that stupid fan setup!
I would consider putting the drying box on the stool in the shade, with the heat collection box in the sunlight. Also, keep an eye on things until you get the feel for it. It doesn't take much to bring the temps up TOO high.
Got shrooms?

So are historians going to look back at 'The Great Cake Eaters'? Damn. That was a backwards step in the evolutionary process. We left Shroomheads in the dust. Welcome to the new age of Vermheads.

oh that's a neat concept... it uses the gas laws to pull cool dense air in as the hot scarce air rises out of the chamber and up across the shrooms.
I like the notion, but the real question is whether it will be effective.
Used it yourself?

this is a neat idea. i had to make one of these in high school as part of my advanced science class. also had to make a solar hotdog cooker. ha! however i think this method of drying would be efficient , only one problem. since it has to sit in the sun (aka SOLAR), wouldnt the heat break down some of the precious psilocybin/psilocin? i believe it would. just my opinion tho.

if you re-read it, he says the "drying box on the stool in the shade" and "heat collection box in the sunlight"...

I have been thinking about sun drying shrooms myself, would this be a viable option? Perhaps put them in a shoe-box or something similar, and cover them with a towel or some paper towel to protect them from the direct sun?

Mother-Earth news had an article, way back, on drying food in a car parked in the sun with the windows rolled up.

If plastic wrap, busted cardboard boxes, and a kitchen cloth costs anywhere close to $10, your hookup on the street is running you up the ass yo.
Oh ya, and cheap food dehydrators are only found for < $15 secondhand.
