im not doing so good so far.... 1 jar out o 12 that didnt contam... and the 2nd batch i put down 50% contam so far... :(

I'm in the Manawatu...tragically.

I'm still waiting on a print from Mystical Mycology Australia before I can get started...I think Jalien is working on a cultivation tek for our native Ps. subaeruginosa.

Sorry to hear about your luck so far...at least you haven't had total failures. I'll be satisfied if I can get just one spore-laden shroom to fruit my first time out...

OUR native? Subaeruginosa grows through southern australia as well - although imsure you know that - can any of you guys get prints of other exclusively native psilocybes from the 'land of the long white cloud' ? (Ps. Aucklandii, Ps.makarorae etc??)

HAHA! I hadnt heard of makarorae either until i saw Stamet's book...Jalien said that he knwe of aucklandii growing in a forest near where he was and they were heaps potent - i dont know anything about them however...Russell Crowe was also born in NZ

yeah you need some cold snaps like in autumn for those wood babies like subaeruginosa to start fruiting... Dont let people criticise those woodloving shrooms - they are just as potent as ps.cyanescens!!

i am from auckland

i am working on subaeruginosa tek
(the mycelium succesfully growing on
cardboard in a plastic bag)

the australasian species are very potent
(the not quite scientifically identified specimans
from auckland's Riverhead forest stunningly so)

Russell Crowe is a kiwi
as of course is Lord of the Rings
and so many things. . .
