I have found this edible species on many different occassions, but on this occassion i am going to eat them. With eggs..

I am 100% positive on my identification, so here we go, ill report back to you with how they tasted.

GG

well L. indigo was the only edible i found today.

we also saw thousands of Boletes, they are out in full force right now.
'couldn't positively identify them tho.

I've found that Lacarius deliciosus, when cooked properly (and very fresh) is pretty good. It has a good flavor, and the only negative is that the texture is often a bit granular (if you've eaten them you know exactly what I mean). Long, slow cooking helps to eliminate the granular texture.

Happy mushrooming!

I love the way they just bleed out their blue when breaking. I found a bunch the other day but never tryed eating. Would make a good "green eggs and ham omlette" I bet.
