even pin sets

i made a casing with crumbled cakes cased with verm., but the casing layer was too thick :banghead: so after about 3 days of colonization i opened her up and ohh so gently loosened the uncolonized casing material (fairly easy with just verm.) and dumped it out, then into the fc it went.

i now have a very nice, very even pin set with minimal myc. growth on the surface. :whocares: i thought i'd share this as it may be a good way to get consistently even pin sets without overlay. and no need for patching! :alc:

no not contams the reason it is bad is because the purpose of a casing layer is to keep the myc with the correct humidity so you get bigger flushes more flushes ect ect this is my experience in this subject

Finetuning your casing skills IMHO is an easier way to get consistantly even pinsets, but whatever works for you swingline or others
