I have this Ward's 12 Pressure Cooker. Does anyone know how to use these things properly. It looks like its in good shape but does anyone know where to find replacement parts for this PC?

It is a dangerous thing to play with. As it was made about 1919.

Trouble with those old pots - it requires some investment - just to see if they will hold their mud.

I would buy a newer model. But, if you are set on trying this one.

First - Replace the pressure gauge.

I would then put some heat to it - to see if it will hold SOME pressure. The pressure release may not work. But, most often - it is a spring inside, which gets weaker - over time. Meaning - it may release on very light pressure.

IF SO... you are about up fecal creek, as you will never find another pressure release like that.

You might be able to replace the spring. But - if you replace it with one that is heavier than called for - you could be building a BOMB.

$50 or a $100 isn't worth getting killed for.
