finding myself, losing myself, seeing myself walking down the street
    #4785481 - 10/10/05 11:16 PM (18 years, 3 months ago)

my issue lately has been one of self,
many moons ago, when i discovered my favorite chemicals,
i felt that i was changed, my perception, always optimistic, everything around me in nature, as beautiful as it should be, my issue is this, did i lose something that i found, or did i never actually find anything... could it be that it has been here all along? and if so, where did it go... did i lose it, or just get used to it? what is it? ask yourself, becuase surely you know of beauty in everything.

oddly it is as if you are constantly to play hide and seek with it.
the most exciting glances leading to the most joyous moments occur at unexpected times.

maybe initially the discovery of specific chemicals brought on a wave of these glances and now beauty magic is again hiding but in a different way. learning tricks does not make it plainer. owning things does not make it richer...

it is everywhere I can confirm, but must run off and check again somehow to be sure.

lots like peekaboo

I got my friend super high on a bunch of the old blue unicorns once and as we were walking down the street he kept repeating "I lost myself, wait, I found myself." over and over. He's never been the same since. Found Jesus and is really preachy ever since.
Thanks for bringing back a memory of a nice fall afternoon 15 years ago.

Unfortunately some people should never be given LSD. I have known several people from whom I "withheld the gift" due to their unstable natures.

One time, myself and three other friends had eaten some acid, which we had all done a few times before.
About an hour or so later, we are all zoned out in our own worlds, im dropping water on my khakis, others are looking at the ceiling, or their hands, everyone just geeked out in wonder.
There was atleast 5-8 minutes of pure silence when all of a sudden, our buddy mark says to all of us "no wait! you got it backwards, it goes atari, sega genesis, then nintendo". He had thought all this time we were all having a conversation about the chronological order in which gaming systems appeared.
3 seconds of more silence passed and everyone else finally said "what the fuck?" and started dying laughing, but i saw the look on his face, he was truly scared, because he realized that the whole thing was completely in his head.
From that point on, the guy has never been the same. It was as if he had shed some innocence and ignorance instantly. He still does hallucenogens every now and then.

Times like those are some of the most priceless moments when one is tripping.

Good one. I have many thousands of such mental snapshots. Too bad a camera could not be devised to catch a whole frame of mind in stead of just the image....well maybe in 20 years or so...
