Hmm, freakishly fast cake w/ myc piss
    #4785027 - 10/10/05 09:34 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

i had a 1/2 cake colonize very fast, the whole thing is colonized except the bottom, where there is excess water which i think is caused by the myc piss that is beginning to form.
i flipped the jar upside down to try and level things out and get the bottom to colonize.
is that what i should do? im just being cautious here....
thanks!

yes, co2 is heavier then oxygen and sinks so turning upside is good in your case

if the bottom of the substrate happens to be compacted and stuck flush up against the glass of the jar, turn it upside down and give it a tap so the cake unsticks from the bottom. it gives the myc room to grow.
