Non-fiction, of course... I actrually did read that before posting, and it is some scary shit. But that document barely scratches this, It is mentioned near the top, but it's mainly concerned with what will happen if you have a gun and other things that could double the mandatory prison time. But in the hypothetical stiuation I am proposing, the grower is underage, and the family doesn't know anything about it. So does anyone know what would probably happen then? I mean, could they still use forfeiture laws to take away everything in the house?

(I am not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV.) I believe forfeiture laws come into play when there is suspicion that you are trafficking/dealing. Make sure that you NEVER EVER EVER sell drugs (any kind of drugs) and that nobody you know will tell the cops that you've sold them drugs. As soon as there is evidence that you have sold, all assets are liable to forfeiture, and the burden of proof is on YOU to prove that you did not purchase them with drug money. In my last 6 years of drug binging, I have never once sold the single slightest bit of any drug. I've given a hell of a lot away. But sell and you're putting your ass in a sling. Hypothetical for anyone who IS a lawyer -- with the burden of proof on you to prove what assets weren't purchased with drug money, what if you were to store (preferably in an encrypted, steganographically hidden file somewhere) logs of every drug you've ever sold, with price, weight, and who you sold it to. Any chance that you could use that data to fight a forfeiture? (Completely ignoring the 5th amendment issues and whether or not you want to fess up to selling 10x more than they busted you for... but if it's going to jail for 10 years and keeping your house vs going to jail for 5 years and losing it.... I dunno.)

Ah, oh well. There goes that idea. I don't want to make money from drugs. I want to enjoy them, and allow others who desire them to share. Taking money would just make me feel dirty. Not that I have any drugs to share nowadays...
