Rec.: Native American peyote music

A strong recommendation for the music of Primeaux & Mike (Verdell Primeaux and Johnny Mike). They have several recordings of Native American peyote songs (e.g., from the Native American Peyote Church).

Authentic, but with excellent production values. This is music by people who trip, for people who trip, and for the specific purposes of healing/growth.

Besides the 'usual' Shpongle or Pink Floyd, why not try some authentic tribal music? You can find samples, and a catalog of their work (and other peyote music) at www.canyonrecords.com. Some of their albums are also at Amazon.

P.S. These guys live on reservations and are not rich professional musicians. So if you can afford to buy the CDs rather than download P2P...

Nice link william. When I trip it is mostly music such as this, Native American flutes, classical hindu sitars/tabla, any kind of world music is great for tripping. It adds so much to the experience.
