How often do you shake wbs jars

Im about to do a G2G transfer, well more like a verm/brf to grain transfer.
Im going to transfer some of the colonized verm/brf from my pf jar to 3 jars full of WBS.
My question is, is just two or three nickle size peices enough to put into each jar?
And how often should I shake up the WBS jars? every couple of days? staright after I do the transfer or should I wait a bit? I read the answer a long time ago and tried searching for it again but could not find it again. Thank you.

you should shake twice, once after you transfer and then again when they are 20-30% colonized. anymore is unnecessary and may inhibit growth rather than help it. best of luck

shake when first nocked up, again about 15% colonization to help spread the love around, then again at 50% to move things right along. but i wouldn't do much more than that.

I shake mine a total of three times: Innoc, 15%, and 50%. 7 days innoc to birthday. Basically, you just want to see white growing from everywhere, not just in large patches, as is the case with BRF cakes.

Yes you break it up when shaking.
You shake the jars to break up the mycelium. This redistributes it inside the jar and creates more inoculation points, which in turn makes it colonise alot quicker than not shaking them at all. It takes a really long time for BRF jars to colonize. It would take just as long/longer for grain jars to colonize without the shaking step. My jars (quarts) colonize within 6-10 days with shaking @ 20% and 50%colonized. If I didn't shake them, it would take approximately 2-3 weeks or longer for them to colonize. Shaking isn't neccessary but it sure does speed things up quite a bit.

Add enough LC and you dont ever have to shake. 3day old jars ~600ml
4day old jar ~3.5litre

everyone has a diff opinion on what to do with wbs. one person situation doesn't mean it's going to work for you. water content cooking times all have a effect on the wbs qaulity. over cook and your shit stalls half way last batch of amazon had to throw out a whole batch after 2 months jars began to smell sour..:(

Ive been thinking of just adding a whole lot of LC as it seems the most logical thing to do to speed things up, and black out you've proven it.
100s of Liters of LC can be made if one had a big enough incubator so wasting LC isnt really an issue.
Black out, how much LC did you add? and did you dry out the substrate at all before or any other special things you did?

30ml was added per small jar. I have successfully fruited on grain which was bone dry, only moisture added was in the for of LC. I have done that 2 times now. The big jar got 195ml. details are in the growlog linked in my sig
