i'm looking for a fast colonizer, with good yields. i saw hawks
site with the cambodians and thailand varieties.

has anyone tried them?

i'm growing some cambo's right now, they're just starting to pin after 17 days. Not sure if this is a good judge of time though, first of all, it's my first attempt at growing, second, i had limited amounts of spore liquid so i only was able to innoculate each jar in one spot (instead of the recommended 4). But from what i've heard here, some other people who've done that with other strains have taken over a month to colonize a 1/2 pint jar. so 17 days isn't too bad IMHO.

The Thai strains are really fast, it took my Koh Samui 12 days to do a quart sized jar. That was on my first try, after that average has been about 14 days to do one that is half full. I have heard the Cambodians are fast too.

You like the speed no? Go with both. Although Cams seem to be a little speedier in a warmer setting, at least that's what I heard.
