Cool site I found... http://www.charlesgilchrist.com/SGEO/index.html
"Intro to sacred geometry" http://www.charlesgilchrist.com/SGEO/SGIntro.html
This page has some great intructions for creating and exploring sacred geometry yourself! http://www.charlesgilchrist.com/SGEO/YSGCB.html

Thank you so much for creating this thread! I just found something that I will play with for HOURS!

And that concludes our Flower of Life - Seed of Life series. Books have been written on the subject. I'd recommend Ancient Secrets of the Flower of Life by Drunvalo Melchizedek.

I love the sixth one down.
-------------------- "A warrior is a hunter. He calculates everything. That's control. Once his calculations are over, he acts. He lets go. That's abandon. A warrior is not a leaf at the mercy of the wind. No one can push him; no one can make him do things against himself or against his better judgment. A warrior is tuned to survive, and he survives in the best of all possible fashions." ― Carlos Castaneda

Case study: The Golden Mean
The golden ratio is a number, approximately 1.618, which when considered as a ratio posseses many interesting properties. It was studied by ancient mathematicians due to its frequent appearance in geometry. Shapes defined by the golden ratio have long been considered aesthetically pleasing in western cultures, reflecting nature's balance between symmetry and asymmetry. The ratio is still used frequently in art and design. The golden ratio is also known as proportio divina, sectio aurea, the golden mean, golden section, golden number or divine proportion. The golden ratio is the unique ratio such that the ratio of the whole to the larger portion is the same as the ratio of the larger portion to the smaller portion. As such, it symbolically links each new generation to its ancestors, preserving the continuity of relationship as the means for retracing its lineage.

The aliens know what's up too

At its most primitive... Sacred Geometry speaks volumes to the subconscious.. the archetypes of the soul.. each person has their own way of interpreting these symbols.. but they are designed in a way as to be flowing with nature and to complement mental clarity, insight and revelation. Most importantly.. harmonization and synchronization of the two hemispheres of the brain.

How the FUCK did people make those in their crops?
I'm not for or against *cough* "aliens" -- they've never revealed themselves to me. But, yes I personally believe geometry is intuitively sacred. I wont get too into it, but just type "sacred geometry" in google. The "subject" has both mathematical significance and metaphysical, so there is information out there for everybody.

duh.. with 2 x 4 planks of wood and rope.. any idiot with a friend or two and a couple hours can make perfect geometric designs that you can only see from the sky, in crazy intricate patterns, without damaging the plants or being seen. Everyone knows that. The skeptics proved it by making a shitty circle with planks of wood and a crew, and claiming they make all the circles. Yet no one has been filmed making these crazy intricate circles. You'd think someone would take pride in their work... or maybe want to.. I dont know... PROVE they did it?
Haven't you heard of the association of professional crop circle makers? Yeah that's because it doesn't exist. Farmers have better things to do than make designs in their crops.

I just started looking for info on the "flower of life" a few days ago. I was going to give some links but I like the variations that were posted better then the ones I found.
the "flower of life" hold truths in science, mysticism, and religion... how many other things can you really say that about.

What if there was an underground society of crop circle makers? They've got to learn their techniques somewhere, right? That would be just as cool as aliens!

this thread rocks!
I spent three hours at work today making little flowers of life using a penny as a stencil, and you know what I discovered!?...
that I need a compass... bad!
oh, and think that crop circlers' are usually not farmers, and are considered vandals most of the time...

you know, one of my biggest attractors to this site 3.5 years ago was discussing sacred geometry and Nibiru with you Shroomism! when digging through this stuff I found a lot of crop circles, and geometric designs with the FOL, Metatron's Cube, etc. etc. that I saved from your posts.
just want to say thanks, Shroomism! Your inspiring words that took my hand and led me into realms I thought not existent....

WOW! Your art work and feel for the shapes and patterns is stunning.
Lately, I've been meaning to start seriously studying sacred geometry. My interest lies more with their relationship to underlying morphegenic energy fields and going from not just being effected by the ones in place, but being able to place new ones in I want to create a new effect with. I'm am starting to become more aware of underlying patterns, and am starting to work with recognizing and establishing them. I haven't used shapes and forms to much yet, just the one in my sig.
This is a tough subject because, it seems working with them is a very intuitive thing and difficult to find words for when discussing it with others. It's not tough if working by yourself with intuition and visualization and insight, but to discuss it with others seems tough without a verbal language created for it.
If you borrow words from science, you get accused of practicing pseudo science. Thats silly because sacred geometry is a science of form and structure, an old one at that and it's just as much of a universal language as math is. It's just understood and spoken on an intuitive level.
I realize the patterns and shapes are a language all their own, like math. But in math, we know what values the numbers represent and how to use them to create values. Thats easy to teach and learn.
Maybe I have a mental block, but this sacred geometry stuff seems not as easy to learn or teach.
I wish someone would come out with a Sacred Geometry for Dummies book already . Maybe some day, I'll get it down and write one.
Maybe when I get back to researching it, I need to use my heart mind more and not my head mind to better understand it. Some things, you just have to feel, not think your way through. And, use just my right brain and not left brain for mental interpretations. I think sacred geometry is one of them.
Sweet Thread! Very Inspiring!

Cymatics, the study of wave phenomena, is a science pioneered by Swiss medical doctor and natural scientist, Hans Jenny (1904-1972). For 14 years he conducted experiments animating inert powders, pastes, and liquids into life-like, flowing forms, which mirrored patterns found throughout nature, art and architecture. What's more, all of these patterns were created using simple sine wave vibrations (pure tones) within the audible range. So what you see is a physical representation of vibration, or how sound manifests into form through the medium of various materials.....more here
