My favorite MC right now would have to be Kool Keith and his alter egos like
Dr.Octagon- Best way i can describe this album is like the most bizarre comicbook you have ever read read thru the craziest ryhmes youve ever heard about a time traviling alien pretending to be a gynecologist (quite possibly one of the best hip hop albums of all time and the most underrated)
Dr Doom Black elvis
Here's a sample track from Dr Octagon- Blue Flowers
Blue Flowers
Feel free to add some more recomendations

Madlib and Quasimoto are my favourite hip hoppers these days.
Kool Keith used to be good too, sex style and dr octagon are two of my all time favourite albums. Dr dooom was ok, black elvis, mathew, and all that other junk sucked ass big time.
And yes, saul williams is great.
Bahamadia is great.
hip hop is great.

I've heard rumor of that, but no confirmation.
I would be surprised if it was madlib, some of the tunes on furthur adventures feature Quas' voice pitched way lower than usual, and you can kinda tell what the dude really sounds like. Doesn't really sound like madlib to me either.

Yeah the whole Non Phixion crew is off the chain. I have most of Necro's albums and one or two of Ill Bill's and Goretex's album isnt half bad either
aside from the ultra violent shit i like alot of intelligent/political hip hop i.e. Paris, Jedi Mind Tricks, Krs-One, Cunning Linguists, Andre Nickatina (aka Dre Dog), Tech N9ne, Tupac, etc. etc. etc.

Whereas, breakbeats have been the missing link connecting the diasporic community to its drum woven past Whereas the quantised drum has allowed the whirling mathematicians to calculate the ever changing distance between rock and stardom. Whereas the velocity of the spinning vinyl, cross-faded, spun backwards, and re-released at the same given moment of recorded history , yet at a different moment in time's continuum has allowed history to catch up with the present.
We do hereby declare reality unkempt by the changing standards of dialogue. Statements, such as, "keep it real", especially when punctuating or anticipating modes of ultra-violence inflicted psychologically or physically or depicting an unchanging rule of events will hence forth be seen as retro-active and not representative of the individually determined is.
Furthermore, as determined by the collective consciousness of this state of being and the lessened distance between thought patterns and their secular manifestations, the role of men as listening receptacles is to be increased by a number no less than 70 percent of the current enlisted as vocal aggressors.
Motherfuckers better realize, now is the time to self-actualize We have found evidence that hip hops standard 85 rpm when increased by a number as least half the rate of it's standard or decreased at ? of it's speed may be a determining factor in heightening consciousness.
Studies show that when a given norm is changed in the face of the unchanging, the remaining contradictions will parallel the truth.
Equate rhyme with reason, Sun with season
Our cyclical relationship to phenomenon has encouraged scholars to erase the centers of periods, thus symbolizing the non-linear character of cause and effect Reject mediocrity!
Your current frequencies of understanding outweigh that which as been given for you to understand. The current standard is the equivalent of an adolescent restricted to the diet of an infant. The rapidly changing body would acquire dysfunctional and deformative symptoms and could not properly mature on a diet of apple sauce and crushed pears Light years are interchangeable with years of living in darkness. The role of darkness is not to be seen as, or equated with, Ignorance, but with the unknown, and the mysteries of the unseen.
Thus, in the name of: ROBESON, GOD'S SON, HURSTON, AHKENATON, HATHSHEPUT, BLACKFOOT, HELEN, LENNON, KHALO, KALI, THE THREE MARIAS, TARA, LILITHE, LOURDE, WHITMAN, BALDWIN, GINSBERG, KAUFMAN, LUMUMBA, GHANDI, GIBRAN, SHABAZZ, SIDDHARTHA, MEDUSA, GUEVARA, GUARDSIEFF, RAND, WRIGHT, BANNEKER, TUBMAN, HAMER, HOLIDAY, DAVIS, COLTRANE, MORRISON, JOPLIN, DUBOIS, CLARKE, SHAKESPEARE, RACHMNINOV, ELLINGTON, CARTER, GAYE, HATHOWAY, HENDRIX, KUTL, DICKERSON, RIPPERTON, MARY, ISIS, THERESA, PLATH, RUMI, FELLINI, MICHAUX, NOSTRADAMUS, NEFERTITI, LA ROCK, SHIVA, GANESHA, YEMAJA, OSHUN, OBATALA, OGUN, KENNEDY, KING, FOUR LITTLE GIRLS, HIROSHIMA, NAGASAKI, KELLER, BIKO, PERONE, MARLEY, COSBY, SHAKUR, THOSE STILL AFLAMED, AND THE COUNTLESS UNNAMED
We claim the present as the pre-sent, as the hereafter. We are unraveling our navels so that we may ingest the sun. We are not afraid of the darkness, we trust that the moon shall guide us. We are determining the future at this very moment. We now know that the heart is the philosophers' stone Our music is our alchemy We stand as the manifested equivalent of 3 buckets of water and a hand full of minerals, thus realizing that those very buckets turned upside down supply the percussion factor of forever. If you must count to keep the beat then count. Find you mantra and awaken your subconscious. Curve you circles counterclockwise Use your cipher to decipher, Coded Language, man made laws. Climb waterfalls and trees, commune with nature, snakes and bees. Let your children name themselves and claim themselves as the new day for today we are determined to be the channelers of these changing frequencies into songs, paintings, writings, dance, drama, photography, carpentry, crafts, love, and love. We enlist every instrument: Acoustic, electronic. Every so-called race, gender, and sexual preference. Every per-son as beings of sound to acknowledge their responsibility to uplift the consciousness of the entire fucking World. hey guys. this is a rhyme by Immortal Technique. It's a damn good story. If you got 5 minutes, you should give the lyric a read. peace and enjoy
?You never know?
She was on her way to becoming a college graduate wouldn't even stop to talk to the average kid, the type of lady I'd sit and contemplate marriage with; fuck the horse and carriage shit, her love was never for hire. Disciplined, intellectual beauty's what I desire flyer than Salma Hayek or Jennifer Lopez, everyone told me, kickin' it to her was hopeless. At first I just thought, she didn't mess with broke kids the ?thug? niggaz always talking about, how they smoke kids, but the rich-sniff-coke kids got no play. "I'm not even interested" is what her body language would say everyone around the way, gave up trying to get in it, it didn't matter how good your game was, she wasn't with it, on the block, bitches was jealous, but wouldn't admit it. Talk shit, and deny to everyone that they did it, 'cause they regretted the long list of niggaz that they let hit it, and no one ever gave them shit except McDonald's and did-dick; Smoking weed with thoughts of envy, whenever they lit it. She smoked intelligently and they bit it, always trying to copy, but when they tried to use her vocab`, they sounded sloppy. She had a style, all her own, respectful and pure, I was sick in the head for her, and there wasn't a cure.
Her eyes are brown and beautiful, yet empty and sad I used to talk to her occasionally, and she was glad that I wasn't just another guy tryin` to get in it, so every now and then we'd stop and talk for a minute. I didn't have a gimmick so the minutes turned to hours; On her birthday, I gave her a poem with flowers, then I took her out to dinner after her cousin's baby shower we talked about, power to the people and such. We spent more time together but it was never enough, I never tried to sneak a touch, or even cop a feel I was too interested, in keeping it real. Perfectly honest and complete, she would always call me "carrino`" and she?d always buy me a new book to read every 2 or 3 weeks, forever changing the expression of my thoughts when I speak It was because of her, I even deeded all of my freaks. She convinced me, to stop hangin' out on the streets to stop robbin' and stealin', from people like you, Instead I took her out to the Apollo and the zoo; we sailed in the Barrio, and the Metropolitan too. Got to the point when I was either with her or my crew, so I decided one day, to tell her my feelings was true I couldn't live without her so I told her, facing my fears, but honey's only response, was a face full of tears. She could only sob hysterically, holding me tight I tried to speak, but she wouldn't stop until I left sight I felt like a moth who got himself too close to the light except I didn't burn, I turned cold after that night.
I went on with my life, college and my career ended up locked up like an animal for a year. where the P.O.'s talk to you like they were the overseer, then I got sent to the hole, when my exit was near. At night in my cell, I'd close my eyes and I'd see her; hold her close in my dreams, but when I woke she disappeared. Just an empty cell until the state gave me parole in the summer came back, in tact and on track; but the fact of the matter, is I still felt cold, even after my mother, hugged me, cryin` at home. my real niggaz would catch me thinkin`, out of my zone, foolin` with different women, but I still felt alone. Relatively well-known around the city underground, but I kept thinking of her and how we used to be down. The sound of her voice, and the beautiful smell of her hair, though gone physically, somehow it was still there. I had to do something, because the shit was too much to bear, so I went and visited the building where she used to live, the world looks a lot different after you do a bid, the way your life done changed while primitive minds are still stuck in the same game; like her cousin who was on the corner slingin' cocaine. I stepped in the lobby and tapped the button next to her last name Her mom buzzed me up and hugged me up, like a mother ought to, but her facial expression changed, when I asked about her daughter.
She told me that there was a note for me, that was left behind, that she had left it there waiting, for such a long time. I was inclined to ask about it but she brought it up first, I saw a tear swelling up in her eye, and then she cursed. She told me where the letter was and I started thinking the worst reversed my position, stepped over and opened the door, and sure enough there was an envelope with my name on the floor "Nobody loves you more than me carrino`" is what the letter said,
"By the time you get to read this, I'll probably be dead. But when you left in '97 a part of me went to heaven. I thank God at least I got to know what love really was, but it hurt me, to see what true love really does; 'cause even though we never made love, you were all that there was, It was because I loved you so much that I had to make you leave, you made me doubt the way I thought, you made me want to believe; and then I slipped up, and I let you get close to me. It was hard to not be openly when people spoke to me, this was not the way I thought my life was supposed to be. Baby don't you see, I had a blood transfusion that left me with HIV, hoped the end exists for me since late in 1993, I died a virgin, although I wish I could've given myself to you. I cried in the hospital because there was no one else but you. Promise that you'll meet me in paradise inevitably, no matter what, I'll keep your love forever with me"
What happened for the rest of the day is still a blur, but I remembered wishing that I was dead, instead of her. She was buried on August 3rd The story ends without a sequel And now you know why I don't just fucking fall in love with people. Hold the person that you love closely if they're next to you, the one you love, not the person that'll simply have sex with you. Appreciate them to the fullest extent, and then beyond, 'cause you never really know what you got, until it's gone.

Im a fuckin hip hop head to the fullest. Im giving you a list of artists who are good to listen to when your high. Im assuming that this is focused more towards the psychedelic listeners.
You guys want good hip hop here it is:
-Pete Rock (new album droppin soon!)
-A tribe called quest ("The love movement"... my fav. tribe album)
-Common (new album is nice)
-Kanye West
-De la soul (latest album is great!)
-Method man :Tical 2000 (cool album got some grimey beats)
-Guru: Jazzmatazz Vol. 1,2,3
-Sean Price!! (his new album is hilarious if your into booze, E, mushrooms and dust youll love this motherfucker... he raps mostly about drugs and fuckin people up. Ignorance at its finest! lol)
-Talib Kweli & Hi-Tek
-Pharcyde
-Ed O.G.
-Dj premier (good beats to smoke joints to)
-Cannibal Ox : The cold vein (they only have this 1 album but its insane... amazingly well made beats that are completely out of the norm... good listen for ANYBODY that likes experimental shit, and vast aire and vordul rap about some pretty amazing things... definately a must hear)
ok thats all i got for you now theres a shitload more I could give yall but these artists above are a great listen. Im sure all u hip hop heads here already have listened to all these guys.

Ive heard rumor of that, but no confirmation.
I would be surprised if it was madlib, some of the tunes on furthur adventures feature Quas' voice pitched way lower than usual, and you can kinda tell what the dude really sounds like. Doesn't really sound like madlib to me either.
Madlib is Quasimoto. Its his alter ego. Its not a rumor it is what it is.
Madlib is a strange cat indeed. But its simple, When madlib puts shit out under quas. He simply raises the pitch of his voice.
