So, uh, not to sound gay or anything...
But how would one, hypothetically, go about reducing hair volume? My... friend's hair is growing longish but his hair poofs up everywhere and makes him look like a damned retard.

tell 'em to go to a salon-type place and have them cut it in layers or something to get rid of excess hair?
i dunno. i have thick hair and that's how i deal when i'm growing it out, like i am now. but i have straight hair..

i dont go to the salon i shave my head by myself to the skin unlike u hippies. butttt i used to have long hair and the same problem adn they fix that shit for you at the more fancy hair cutting places

try a little conditioning agent, rub its through the hair or a anti frizz agent

i go to a salon only because my mom goes there and pays for my haircut when she goes.... and there are hot girls everywhere you look even the one cutting your hair... plus the haircut is way better quality than supercuts... i have short hair and they give me a fade just like a black dude haha...

Trust me, all you need is conditioner. Not too much either. Wash it thoroughly into the hair, then turn the water in the shower up hotter and step out from under the water, just let it sit for a minute in the steam, then turn the water back the way you want it and wash it out.
Also, comb it through while it has conditioner in it, that's the best way to keep it down.
